He did all he could to help others and always saw the best in each person he met. Thank you to all the people from Interim Health Care and Pathways Hospice who cared for Mike and were also there for our family. They are truly devoted and caring angels. Love to you all, Kathi Ive looked all over for the picture we have of Tommys graduation where Mike dressed up as a woman and actually stayed like that until the wee hours!!!!!!!!!!!! Dear Joan, I am so sorry for your loss. Your generosity, together, was not lost on me, when you welcomed me into your home while I was seeking a house there in Fort Collins.
I appreciated our lively conversations and the love you both were so often expressing about your kids, grandkids, and the "kids" at church.
I also remember your phenomenal lasagne Thank you for all your love. Mike will be greatly missed, and my heart goes out to you at this time. Love and prayers, Monica Elsinger. Nevertheless, I know he is in a much better place. I had the pleasure of working with Mike in several capacities, which was always a pleasant experience. He always exemplified professionalism at its best.
I loved his volunteerism with Character Fort Collins, an initiative that my office started in He and others were champions of the cause and still are. Mike had a spirit of love that cared for everyone. He and I shared adoption stories, Which I shared in my personal memoir book about his experience. The Janicki family have so many laughs and memories told of some pretty amazing adventures with all of the kids growing up.
I am sure Nick and Mike and Shorty are having some good times.

Love you Joan and Family - Mike was one special man! Barb and I agree that knowing Mike Demma made us each a better person. That's just the kind of man Mike was.
He made every one he met better. He will be dearly missed. While we won't be at the service today in person, please know we are with you in thought and spirit.
Mike was one of the most amazing, generous men I have ever known! His life was about family and charity, he gave to his community like very few ever will, and his love for this town goes unmatched! RIP Mr. Demma your love and generosity will always be remembered!
He and you are in my prayers. Joe Heavey. Joan, Sorry to hear of Mike's passing.
I particularly remember many years ago we would hold a holiday dinner for the kids and Mike would show up in a tux to great the kids. Mike loved his family and his community.
He will be missed. I first met Mike and Joan through the Elks Lodge patriotic competition that the Elks has sponsored for many years. Mike coordinated the competition for many years, and Joan also helped with the essay assessment.
I entered my fifth graders from Heritage Christian Academy, not realizing what a valuable experience it would be for them.
Finding your soulmate
It truly taught them many things, but it encouraged their patriotism and love of country. Their appreciation for those who have served in the military and our forefathers is indeed a good thing for all Americans to value.
I so admired Mike's servant attitude, and his humility. He was always so kind as well as encouraging. I am praying for Joan's comfort, and hopefully she has many wonderful memories that she will treasure. I am grateful for the privilege of having known this wonderful man! Thank you Mike for all you did in life and thank Joan for putting up with all his time he gave to others. Mike was a kind and old soul who had much wisdom. He shared his wisdom with many and I learned from him.
I knew Mike for over 40 years and I never heard him say anything unkind about anyone. When we were involved in the Sons of Italy Club in Fort Collins it was always easy to say something unkind about someone.
